Settings Hub

The Setting section allows an administrator to configure how the SSE operates. In this section, there are five main subsections which are listed below:

  • Group - The Group section allows administrators to create and manage reusable lists—such as IPs, hosts, URLs, paths, and key-value pairs—that can be referenced in security policy “in list” conditions. Each tab provides tools to add, edit, delete, or import/export these grouped values to streamline policy configuration.
  • Global Security - Global Security centralizes appliance-wide protections, letting administrators define how invalid certificates are handled, designate pass-through traffic exempt from TLS inspection, and customize web/DNS block pages. It also provides configuration for internal DNS usage, ensuring consistent security behavior across multiple services.
  • Notification - Notificationprovides tools to transmit logs to external systems, allowing administrators to configure SIEM log delivery—including servers, log formats, and transmission schedules—as well as send audit logs to messaging platforms like Telegram, Slack, or Discord. It centralizes all outbound log-delivery settings for seamless integration with monitoring and alerting systems.
  • Default Settings - Default Settings centralize control over how users authenticate to the service, enabling configuration of SSO providers, LDAP integration, and console timeout or dormant-account rules. These settings enhance access security by managing identity sources, enforcing stronger authentication, and controlling account behavior.
  • Policy Backup- The Policy Backup setting allows the administrator to safely backup policies, as well as upload ones to the SSE.
